ABOUT US

In 2013 it all started with something I thought was a stroke. After experiencing and working with several physicians, psychiatrists and former colleagues in the leadership training business, we found the formula far beyond medication and cognitive therapy.

What happened was a classic case of burnt-out, or if you prefer stress disorder. During five years and the period of my recovery, a method is developed and turned into a set of services. These cover prevention, rehabilitation and mental performance and are offered as lectures, courses and consulting in managing stress.

I gave myself the promise that I would never ever more work in a way that causes stress related illness or work in a way that calls for mental or physical health treatment in my spare time. I also promised myself to not have the approach to push and drain myself to a certain degree as I thought would be safe for self healing with a good night's sleep. I want to gain and increase mental capacity and performance while working, not the other way around.

The idea with ThinkOutside.info is to share my experiences with you and your organisation. We like to help the ones who are interested in not getting burnt out in the first place, we like to help to increasing mental performance or give help in recovering from stress related disorders. ThinkOutside.info is a non profit project. All incomes are to be reinvested in gaining knowledge, spreading knowledge and helping people and organisations. There is also counselling free of charge to help people who due to stress disorders lost their possibilities to found help and getting adequate help from the society. We appreciate donations for equipment and coaches to this free of charge program.

The method is holistic and addresses the basic needs in life and our natural habitat, the outdoors. It addresses your interest and joy in activities. The ingredients in our method formula are covered by research. The ingredients are physical activity, the food you cook and eat, sleeping and relaxing and the fourth and last, social factors. One of these ingredients is often advised to stressed out persons as one method in stress therapy separated from the others. It is also often the case that one method will be picked and scrutinised. In our approach we have put them together and integrated them. The context of nature is of outmost importance both for stress relief and for increasing mental power. Therefore our activities are carried out in the outdoors. Only a few occasions in training will be held indoors due to practical learning and for logistic reasons. With our method stress relief training will be practiced rather than being discussed on whether it is the most perfect one or not. We have given room for your management team or if it is the case of rehabilitation your doctors to attend together with you in the stress relief training. We call it training rather than treatment. It gives a clear message of the ambition in achieveing change in behaviours and give permanent results rather than attacking symptoms, that will raise over and over again. We work with a positive approach. An approach to increase mental power.

We have knowledge and skills in outdoor living, outdoor sports, first aid, coaching, learning and in business management. Work experience comes from R & D within the academy and from consulting in the commercial industry. We welcome medical trained people and skilled adventurers for co-work. We will continuously learn, reevaluate and adapt for the one and only purpose. To get you and your organisation in the best possible mental shape we can.

THE CLIENTS POINT OF VIEW

I decided to take lessons and learn to crawl to be better at paddling when surfing. To easer get out on and catch the nice waves. What I didn't expect was that learning to crawl is so much fun! I expected it to be an overall physically great practice, which it is, but never imagined that the very pedagogical teaching by Alexander would make the results come so quick and easy. By taking baby steps, learning one thing at a time, the flow in the following excercise comes very natural. It is really awarding that every little thing you try during class really helps you to get better directly. After a few classes it dawned on me that I'm not longer doing this to be better at surfing, but for the joy of it. It's more fun than you can imagine. I warmly recommend you give it a try!
